Phlux Technology is an advanced infrared sensor technology company spun out from
the University of Sheffield, specialising in
high-performance photonic innovation. As the
business continued to grow and evolve, Phlux
selected Pennine Five as the location for its
new headquarters in Summer 2024, providing
a modern environment to support its
ambitious future plans.

Working closely alongside the Phlux team, we designed and delivered a bespoke workspace tailored to the operational, technical, and collaborative needs of their growing business.
The project focused on creating an environment that balanced specialist laboratory requirements with contemporary workplace design. The scheme included a full Cat-A and Cat-B fit-out, incorporating the creation of specialist clean room laboratory facilities alongside private office spaces and dedicated areas for focused working. To support collaboration and team interaction, we also introduced an open breakout space complete with modern kitchen facilities, creating a welcoming and functional environment for staff and visitors alike.
The completed workspace provides Phlux Technology with a scalable, future-ready headquarters that reflects the innovative nature of the business while supporting productivity, collaboration, and continued growth.
